Purple Martins arrive - Feb 7th

We sure do enjoy watching the Purple Martins. We anxiously anticipate the first arrivals of the spring.  This year the first bird arrived Feb 7th.  Compare this with the first arrival of 2012 which occurred on Feb 24th.  Seems that we are going to have an early spring this year.
