First honey of the summer

This spring I established a honeybee apiary about 5 miles from our house. While checking the hives on Thursday, I found that one of the hives had sealed honeycomb that was ready to harvest.  I decided to take one frame of honeycomb to the house to taste-test.  The honey had a beautiful light golden color and superb taste. Mesquite trees were the most likely source for this honey.

Thank you honeybees!
