Hillcountry vacation with Wallis's

March 1- 4 stayed in a VRBO in Helotes, Texas with Dave and Dian Wallis. This was a super VRBO property with big country home surrounded by large live oaks and completely set up for comfortable indoor and outdoor living.  It was close to San Antonio and not too far from Kerrville. This  is the kind of place that we want to go back to in the future.

VRBO was superb!!

Hiked Government Canyon on Monday morning

Visited the old Pearl Brewry.... My dad loved his Pearl beer...

Pearl Brewery was shutdown in 2001.

Relaxing on the porch....  Dave and I trying to talk the ladies into going downtown to shop at El Mercado Market.

Backyard lights were a joy

Every kind of Mexican import imaginable is in the El Mercado Market

Visiting with Mike Sanders at Boathouse Restaurant along the Guadalupe river in Kerrville.

Mike and I have had so many adventures since we first met at duPont in 1981.... Sulfur Creek in Utah, Pecos River, Devil's river, Big Bend National Park, Lewis Canyon, Boquillas, Mexico, Guadalupe Mountain .....

Monument at the city park in Kerrville to the 135 who died in the Guadalupe River flood in July, 2025
