Houston Zoo

Justin, Chris and I took the big girls to the Zoo on Saturday.  Cora and Jake weren't quite old enough for this adventure. If you can measure kid fun by the oohs and ahs and pointing than the zoo was a big success. The highpoints were the tunnel that puts you at a glass window in the middle of the lion cage where we were only a foot away from a lioness face, the howler monkeys that were screaming and zooming around their cage, the baby elephant drinking water, the chimpanzee that was scratching his butt, the komodo dragon and the reptile house..especially the bright green frogs  and snakes.  All the kids got to touch a kingsnake and a hedgehog and get up close and personal with a Screech Owl. We managed to get all three little monkeys home without a scratch.
