Except for a couple of isolated accidental incidents, none of the grandkids have spent time in the creek itself. Than along comes Haley looking for adventure. She just couldn't stay out of that soft gooey creek mud. She seemed to be relishing being barefoot and sinking deep in the ooze....Trying to be optimistic, I like to think that being in this muddy creek is an opportunity for the body to build microbial resistance.

Haley and mud
Some kids just can't stay out of the mud. Mary's Creek which is basically a big muddy drainage ditch that runs behind our house. The mud being deposited by the water coming from the culverts that drain our streets. Yucky to say the least.
