Fascination with mud

The Buskirks spent the night for the first time since the Corona Virus hit town.  The boys couldn't wait to get in the Mary's Creek mud. The creek is very low up here at the headwaters. Is it possible that playing in the mud  helps build resistance to viruses? They found apple snails, caught mosquito fish and shiners,  found a fresh snake shin and were attacked by a low flying flock of ibis.  They left behind only humanoid footprints in the mud for future generations of paleontologist to decipher.
