A three day weekend meant that we had extra time to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Kurt and I took the boys on a kayak adventure on Mary's Creek. The creek is running higher than normal due to the recent rains. Even with that, there were still spots along the creek that were choked with vegetation that made the paddling difficult. The trip gave the boys a couple of opportunities to learn what the term "portage" means.
Their catch included Rio Grande, Green Perch, Bass, and Warmouth.
