Have you ever been to Branson, Missouri? Sally and I had visited Branson about twenty years ago and left with the impression that it catered mostly to the elderly. So, now that we are "xxx"... it was time to go back, and what we found was that Branson has changed. It has become much more family oriented. We saw lots of water parks, lots of miniature golf courses, and lots of other kid amusement rides. For the return trip, we were joined by sister-in-law Ann and brother-in-law Bruce. We had booked a one week stay at the Willow Ridge Resort. On the first day when we were getting our bearings, we made a lucky find... Grandma Ruth's cinnamon rolls. The rolls were great but the real find was her son who proceeded to give us the rundown on all the best shows in town. We realized that following the advice of a total stranger could be dangerous but in this case the next few days proved him right. The three show suggestions that he made turned out to be our favorites.
Our ratings: Clay Cooper was #1, Smoke on the Mountain was #2, Six was #3
This is Grandma Ruth....and some really delicious cinnamon rolls.
Pool time at Willow Ridge
Our first time to eat at Lambert's...they do actually throw the rolls and they are constantly coming by your table offering you complimentary "pass arounds"... like fried okra, macaroni and tomato, potatoes and onions and more
