Anolis carolinensis

Please take note of this photo.  Anoles which can change color from brown to green, are the most common lizard in Pearland and throughout most of the southern United States. These lizards have adapted well to urban environment.   Most people tolerate these lizards on their patios and around their homes because they are no threat to humans.  If you don't already let them stay around the house, here is a good reason to do so.   This anole has just caught a cockroach and is munching down on him.
