Making Bread and Butter Pickles and Mayhaw Jelly

The garden is in full swing and cucumbers are coming in faster than we can eat them. Also, a friend gave us a bucket of wild Mayhaw fruits from their country property. So Sally and I set aside some time on Monday to travel back in time to our days when we were striving to be as self-sufficient as possible.  It was fun to work in the kitchen together and Sally actually referred to it as romantic.  I am already scouting out locations where I can pick Mustang Grapes.
