Circumnavigating Lake Tahoe

Photos from today's trip

                                                                                Mt Tallac

Check out the bird popping his head out of the hole

 Pygmy Nuthatch

There were lots of small gaggles of Canadian geese

Up close and personal

This bunch just struck me as having different personalities

Field of cones

Lupine beauty

Sally wanted to feel small
Fannette Island in Emerald Bay is the only island in Lake Tahoe

The cutest little chipmunk award

We couldn't get enough of this little guy

Grandkids would have loved this

Emerald Bay

Eagle Falls dropping down into Emerald Bay

There we are!

Traveling companions - Ann and Bruce Forester

\
Snow Plant - very unusual as it just pops up out of the pine needles in the spring

The light was better for seeing the colors of the water on the west shore

I thought about taking a quick dip in the ice water - it sure looked inviting

Stellar Jay

The beauty is almost hypnotic

Check out the colors of the water

Another perfect swimming hole
