Mt Elbert ....Highpoint of Colorado

August 2009 - Diane Peace, Laurie Bishop and I hiked to Mt Elbert summit(14,433 ft) from the trailhead of South Mt Elbert trail. By the time we reached the summit, it was sleeting and the wind was howling.  Total distance hiked was 7.6
miles.
