We gave them a proper spoiling before they had to go back to school.
Like all of Texas, Geronimo is extremely hot and dry. So we tried to spend as much time as possible in the water.... Every day we spent time in the Geronimo Creek. On top of that, we spent almost all day on Wednesday at Landa Park where we swam in three different pools.
Thursday we split up and Gracie went to Sally's school for their end of summer Water Play Day, while Lucy and I went to Aquarena Springs in San Marcos.
You know that I enjoy the funny things that kids say so here are some new rerleases:
Grace said."Can you send me something that the Brown Mail Man brings to my house?" "Just to me." "Not for Christmas or my Birthday....just a special treat"
Several times Grace had to yell at Lucy...."NO! LUCY! STOP! IT IS MY TURN TO TALK!"
Lucy has figured out that Sally and I are old. She got me real good on this visit when the two of us were leaving the creek and I realized that I had left my camera on the creek bank and I started to turn around to get it and Lucy said "Let me get it for you, Poppy, you might fall and break something and that could be real bad at your age." I gave her a serious stare and she comes right back with... "I mean that it would be bad for a real old person but you are just medium old so it wouldn't be as serious.
You got to love it.....
