Met Dave and Dian Wallis for lunch in Destin, Florida. What a day! Went to the little jetties to throw on the goggles and check out the fish. This is a great place to walk right into the water and immediately start seeing colorful fish such as little purple ones with yellow tail fins, some all blue, some that were all black, two angel fish, some small groupers, sea urchins and lots more (I have to take the grandkids to this place...maybe by then I can learn the actual names of these fish). Later in the afternoon, we went swimming at the beach across from our motel....the afternoon sunshine had turned the water a mesmerizing blue. It was extremely relaxing as we floated around letting the sea have it's way with us.
That evening we drove a couple miles down the beach to eat and hang out right on the beach at the Crab Trap Resturant. Had to say goodbye to Dave and Dian as they were leaving the motel at 5:30 A.M. and we had no intention of getting up that early.
This little protected area near Destin bridge is great for kids...quiet water and lots of interesting fish
