Antelope Canyon and more

Page, Arizona was our first stop on a two week hiking trip to Utah and Arizona.  Sally and I had caravanned out from Texas with good friends,  Ed and Cathy Waley, with a plan to hike and photograph Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend on Colorado river...

Just below Glen Canyon dam, the Colorado River has formed  this spectacular horseshoe bend

Living on the edge

Sally and Cathy headed down into Antelope Canyon

Surrounded by sandstone

Light does amazing things

It felt like you were in a maze

We could lose a grandkid in here!

The little dimples on this wall are called "Shooting Stars"

I'm speechless

Sally about to disappear again

You never tire of turning the corner to see what's next

Lower Antelope Canyon is on the Navajo Indian Reservation

Head for the light

We pop up out of the ground like a couple of prairie dogs

After Ed and Cathy left for Bryce Canyon National Park, Sally and I did the Hanging Garden Trail then headed to Zion National Park

Sally waiting patiently at Hanging Gardens while I chased after lizards
