Roaring Springs Getaway - Thanks John and Kara

Roaring Springs is close to Camp Wood, Texas in the beautiful Texas hill country. Roaring Springs is a naturalist dream come true with seeps and springs popping up out of the ground that feed into beautiful clear little creeks with abundant aquatic life.  One creek forms this amazing swimming hole. The water was so cold... the kind of cold that takes your breath away when you first get in. But, your body does adjust and you do survive.

The siblings plus Kara.

LCR in progress... Also played Blank Slate and Mexican Train Bad Memory Version

From the back porch... Yes, it rained but there is never a bad day in Roaring Rapids

Sally's second time in the new tandem sit-on-top kayak ... We might not be quite ready for the whitewater yet.

Bruce and Ann trying out the tandem

I found this fern growing in the limestone bluff below the house... The bluish color drew me to it. I don't remember ever seeing this fern before. With my new "Picture This" app, I learned it was "Cliffbrake Fern".
