Easter Weekend Camping

We camped at Brazos Bend State Park on Friday and Saturday nights...Sally and I felt very blessed as the entire family made it to the park. This park is a great place to see wildlife and really nice place for kids to ride bikes. We spotted deer, racoon, broad-headed skink (pretty cool is you are a herpetologist), squrriels, bunnies(just regular bunnies), alligators, and lots of beautiful birds such as Roseate Spoonbill.  Our campsite was on a loop that served as a freeway for kid bike traffic. Lucy and Grace made the most of our location by biking the loop a multitude of times.  Best Trooper award has to go to Erin for camping during her last month of pregnancy. Back at Justin and Sara's house on Easter, I checked with the grandkids about what they considered the highlights of camping trip..... Lucy - "bike riding and hiking"; Grace - "bike riding and egg-hunting"; Haley in typical two-year old fashion - "Candy".
