The drive today from Hermiston, Oregon to Twin Falls, Idaho took us along the Oregon Trail and at one point we stopped at a historial marker to observe the wagon ruts still visible after all these years. This drive took us through some desolate dry high country but then where there was river water or ground water for irrigation then there would be these beautiful green valleys of farmland.
